Part number TFE208 is an AS568-208 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 0.609 in (15.47 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.887 in (22.53 mm). An o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

PTFE (Teflon) is specified for near-universal chemical inertness and a very wide continuous service temperature range. Expect good resistance to steam, nearly all industrial chemicals, and strong acids and bases. Service temperature is rated from -65°F (-53.9°C) through 500°F (260°C).

It sees regular use in laboratory equipment, chemical processing, and food and beverage.
