Part number TFE209 is an AS568-209 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 0.671 in (17.04 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.949 in (24.1 mm). An o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

It resists nearly all industrial chemicals, oxidizing media, and strong acids and bases. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE (Teflon) is widely chosen for a very wide continuous service temperature range and excellent dielectric properties. Rated temperature range runs from -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C) in continuous service.
