APG stocks the TFE212, an AS568-212 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring with an inside diameter of 0.859 in (21.82 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.137 in (28.88 mm). An o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

PTFE (Teflon) is valued for non-stick, non-contaminating surface characteristics and one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid. It resists strong acids and bases, steam, and oxidizing media. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C). It is not the right choice where elemental fluorine at temperature or molten alkali metals are present.

It sees regular use in pharmaceutical and biotech, aggressive-media pipelines, and food and beverage.
