TFE222 is an AS568-222 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 1.484 in (37.69 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.762 in (44.75 mm). In service, this o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

PTFE (Teflon) is widely chosen for excellent dielectric properties and near-universal chemical inertness. This material stands up to solvents, oxidizing media, and strong acids and bases. Published continuous service range is -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C). It should not be specified for service in service requiring elastic recovery or elemental fluorine at temperature.

Typical settings include aggressive-media pipelines, food and beverage, and laboratory equipment.
