568-223 PTFE ORINGS FDA

Ordered as TFE223, this is an AS568-223 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 1.609 in (40.87 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.887 in (47.93 mm). The o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

PTFE (Teflon) is specified here for excellent dielectric properties and near-universal chemical inertness. The material holds up against oxidizing media, strong acids and bases, and steam. Rated temperature range runs from -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C) in continuous service. It is not the right choice where elemental fluorine at temperature or molten alkali metals are present.
