568-226 PTFE ORINGS FDA

Ordered as TFE226, this is an AS568-226 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring with an inside diameter of 1.984 in (50.39 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.262 in (57.45 mm). The o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

It resists strong acids and bases, steam, and solvents. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE (Teflon) is valued for near-universal chemical inertness and excellent dielectric properties. Service temperature is rated from -65°F (-53.9°C) through 500°F (260°C). Exposure to service requiring elastic recovery or elemental fluorine at temperature will shorten service life.
