The TFE230 is an AS568-230 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 2.484 in (63.09 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.762 in (70.15 mm). This o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

PTFE (Teflon) is widely chosen for one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid and near-universal chemical inertness. Expect good resistance to nearly all industrial chemicals, strong acids and bases, and oxidizing media. Rated temperature range runs from -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C) in continuous service. It is not the right choice where molten alkali metals or service requiring elastic recovery are present.
