The TFE237 is an AS568-237 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 3.359 in (85.32 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.637 in (92.38 mm). This o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

PTFE (Teflon) is specified here for excellent dielectric properties and non-stick, non-contaminating surface characteristics. This material stands up to nearly all industrial chemicals, steam, and solvents. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C).

Common environments for this compound include pharmaceutical and biotech, aggressive-media pipelines, and chemical processing.
