TFE250 is an AS568-250 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 4.984 in (126.59 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.262 in (133.65 mm). In service, this o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

It resists solvents, strong acids and bases, and oxidizing media. PTFE (Teflon) is widely chosen for near-universal chemical inertness and a very wide continuous service temperature range. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C).

It sees regular use in pharmaceutical and biotech, food and beverage, and semiconductor fabrication.
