Ordered as TFE261, this is an AS568-261 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 6.734 in (171.04 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 7.012 in (178.1 mm). The o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

It resists solvents, steam, and strong acids and bases. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE (Teflon) is widely chosen for one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid and non-stick, non-contaminating surface characteristics. The material carries a published service range of -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C). It should not be specified for service in molten alkali metals or elemental fluorine at temperature.
