TFE268 is an AS568-268 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 8.484 in (215.49 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 8.762 in (222.55 mm). In service, this o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

As a material, PTFE (Teflon) offers a very wide continuous service temperature range and one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid. This material stands up to solvents, nearly all industrial chemicals, and strong acids and bases. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C).
