TFE270 is an AS568-270 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 8.984 in (228.19 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 9.262 in (235.25 mm). In service, this o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

PTFE (Teflon) is valued for non-stick, non-contaminating surface characteristics and a very wide continuous service temperature range. This material stands up to steam, solvents, and oxidizing media. The material carries a published service range of -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C). It is not the right choice where molten alkali metals or service requiring elastic recovery are present.
