APG stocks the TFE309, an AS568-309 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 0.412 in (10.46 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.832 in (21.13 mm). An o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

PTFE (Teflon) is specified for a very wide continuous service temperature range and one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid. It resists strong acids and bases, steam, and oxidizing media. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C). It is not the right choice where molten alkali metals or service requiring elastic recovery are present.

It sees regular use in laboratory equipment, food and beverage, and semiconductor fabrication.
