568-310 PTFE ORINGS FDA

This o-ring is supplied in AS568-310 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D built to an inside diameter of 0.475 in (12.07 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.895 in (22.73 mm), catalogued under part number TFE310. It seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

As a material, PTFE (Teflon) is specified for a very wide continuous service temperature range and one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid. It resists strong acids and bases, nearly all industrial chemicals, and steam. Rated temperature range runs from -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C) in continuous service.

Typical settings include chemical processing, pharmaceutical and biotech, and aggressive-media pipelines.
