APG stocks the TFE322, an AS568-322 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 1.225 in (31.12 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.645 in (41.78 mm). An o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

It resists nearly all industrial chemicals, solvents, and strong acids and bases. PTFE (Teflon) is widely chosen for non-stick, non-contaminating surface characteristics and a very wide continuous service temperature range. The material carries a published service range of -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C). Applications involving service requiring elastic recovery or molten alkali metals call for a different compound.

It sees regular use in aggressive-media pipelines, pharmaceutical and biotech, and laboratory equipment.
