568-339 PTFE ORINGS FDA

Ordered as TFE339, this is an AS568-339 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 3.225 in (81.92 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.645 in (92.58 mm). The o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

It resists oxidizing media, steam, and solvents. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE (Teflon) is specified for excellent dielectric properties and near-universal chemical inertness. Service temperature is rated from -65°F (-53.9°C) through 500°F (260°C). It should not be specified for service in elemental fluorine at temperature or molten alkali metals.

It sees regular use in chemical processing, food and beverage, and aggressive-media pipelines.
