Part number TFE341 is an AS568-341 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 3.475 in (88.27 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.895 in (98.93 mm). An o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.
The material holds up against oxidizing media, strong acids and bases, and solvents. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE (Teflon) is widely chosen for near-universal chemical inertness and a very wide continuous service temperature range. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C). It should not be specified for service in molten alkali metals or service requiring elastic recovery.
Maintenance and OEM teams specify it across semiconductor fabrication, food and beverage, and laboratory equipment.
Stocked as TFE341 and sold individually. Nominal inside diameter is listed as 3 1/2 inch. Review your operating media and conditions against this specification before installation. For a size or compound outside the standard catalog, APG can quote from a print or sample.
