Part number TFE345 is an AS568-345 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 3.975 in (100.97 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.395 in (111.63 mm). An o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

As a material, PTFE (Teflon) is widely chosen for excellent dielectric properties and one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid. The compound resists solvents, strong acids and bases, and nearly all industrial chemicals. Service temperature is rated from -65°F (-53.9°C) through 500°F (260°C). Verify compatibility before use with elemental fluorine at temperature or molten alkali metals.

Typical settings include food and beverage, aggressive-media pipelines, and chemical processing.
