TFE355 is an AS568-355 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring with an inside diameter of 5.225 in (132.72 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.645 in (143.38 mm). In service, this o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

This material stands up to oxidizing media, strong acids and bases, and solvents. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE (Teflon) is valued for one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid and non-stick, non-contaminating surface characteristics. Service temperature is rated from -65°F (-53.9°C) through 500°F (260°C). It should not be specified for service in elemental fluorine at temperature or molten alkali metals.
