568-367 PTFE ORINGS FDA

Ordered as TFE367, this is an AS568-367 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 7.475 in (189.87 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 7.895 in (200.53 mm). The o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

As a material, PTFE (Teflon) is valued for near-universal chemical inertness and a very wide continuous service temperature range. The material holds up against strong acids and bases, nearly all industrial chemicals, and solvents. The material carries a published service range of -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C). Applications involving molten alkali metals or service requiring elastic recovery call for a different compound.

It sees regular use in chemical processing, semiconductor fabrication, and food and beverage.
