TFE368 is an AS568-368 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 7.725 in (196.22 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 8.145 in (206.88 mm). In service, this o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

PTFE (Teflon) is specified for a very wide continuous service temperature range and near-universal chemical inertness. The compound resists steam, strong acids and bases, and nearly all industrial chemicals. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C). Applications involving service requiring elastic recovery or molten alkali metals call for a different compound.

Common environments for this compound include pharmaceutical and biotech, laboratory equipment, and semiconductor fabrication.
