TFE381 is an AS568-381 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 11.975 in (304.17 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 12.395 in (314.83 mm). In service, this o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

The material holds up against strong acids and bases, nearly all industrial chemicals, and oxidizing media. PTFE (Teflon) is known for a very wide continuous service temperature range and one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid. Service temperature is rated from -65°F (-53.9°C) through 500°F (260°C). It is not the right choice where service requiring elastic recovery or elemental fluorine at temperature are present.

Typical settings include aggressive-media pipelines, food and beverage, and laboratory equipment.
