TFE382 is an AS568-382 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 12.975 in (329.57 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 13.395 in (340.23 mm). In service, this o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

As a material, PTFE (Teflon) delivers near-universal chemical inertness and a very wide continuous service temperature range. The compound resists oxidizing media, solvents, and strong acids and bases. Service temperature is rated from -65°F (-53.9°C) through 500°F (260°C). It should not be specified for service in elemental fluorine at temperature or service requiring elastic recovery.
