Part number TFE427 is an AS568-427 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 4.725 in (120.02 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.275 in (133.99 mm). An o-ring delivers dependable bidirectional sealing in a compact groove envelope.

PTFE (Teflon) is specified here for non-stick, non-contaminating surface characteristics and one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid. The material holds up against strong acids and bases, oxidizing media, and steam. Published continuous service range is -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C). It is not the right choice where molten alkali metals or service requiring elastic recovery are present.
