TFE430 is an AS568-430 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 5.1 in (129.54 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.65 in (143.51 mm). In service, this o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

This material stands up to strong acids and bases, solvents, and nearly all industrial chemicals. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE (Teflon) delivers one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid and excellent dielectric properties. Service temperature is rated from -65°F (-53.9°C) through 500°F (260°C). It is not the right choice where elemental fluorine at temperature or service requiring elastic recovery are present.

It sees regular use in aggressive-media pipelines, laboratory equipment, and chemical processing.
