APG stocks the TFE433, an AS568-433 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 5.475 in (139.07 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.025 in (153.04 mm). An o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.
PTFE (Teflon) is specified here for very wide continuous service temperature range and near-universal chemical inertness. The material holds up against steam, solvents, and strong acids and bases. Published continuous service range is -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C). It should not be specified for service in elemental fluorine at temperature or service requiring elastic recovery.
It sees regular use in semiconductor fabrication, chemical processing, and aggressive-media pipelines.
Stocked as TFE433 and sold individually. Nominal inside diameter is listed as 5 1/2 inch. Check the compound against your process media, pressure and temperature before committing to a design. Not finding the exact configuration you need? APG cross-references from prints, samples and competitor part numbers.
