APG stocks the TFE440, an AS568-440 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring with an inside diameter of 6.725 in (170.82 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 7.275 in (184.79 mm). An o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

This material stands up to solvents, nearly all industrial chemicals, and oxidizing media. PTFE (Teflon) is known for a very wide continuous service temperature range and near-universal chemical inertness. Rated temperature range runs from -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C) in continuous service. It is not the right choice where elemental fluorine at temperature or molten alkali metals are present.
