Part number TFE444 is an AS568-444 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 7.725 in (196.22 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 8.275 in (210.19 mm). An o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

PTFE (Teflon) is specified for excellent dielectric properties and near-universal chemical inertness. This material stands up to steam, solvents, and oxidizing media. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C). It is not the right choice where elemental fluorine at temperature or molten alkali metals are present.

It sees regular use in food and beverage, laboratory equipment, and aggressive-media pipelines.
