TFE446 is an AS568-446 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 8.475 in (215.27 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 9.025 in (229.24 mm). In service, this o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

PTFE (Teflon) delivers non-stick, non-contaminating surface characteristics and a very wide continuous service temperature range. The compound resists oxidizing media, nearly all industrial chemicals, and solvents. The material carries a published service range of -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C). Exposure to molten alkali metals or service requiring elastic recovery will shorten service life.
