Part number TFE450 is an AS568-450 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 10.475 in (266.07 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 11.025 in (280.04 mm). An o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

As a material, PTFE (Teflon) is specified for near-universal chemical inertness and excellent dielectric properties. This material stands up to solvents, nearly all industrial chemicals, and strong acids and bases. Rated temperature range runs from -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C) in continuous service.
