Ordered as TFE461, this is an AS568-461 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 15.955 in (405.26 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 16.505 in (419.23 mm). The o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

As a material, PTFE (Teflon) is widely chosen for near-universal chemical inertness and a very wide continuous service temperature range. Expect good resistance to oxidizing media, steam, and solvents. Published continuous service range is -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C). Exposure to molten alkali metals or service requiring elastic recovery will shorten service life.
