Part number TFE475 is an AS568-475 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 25.94 in (658.88 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 26.49 in (672.85 mm). An o-ring delivers dependable bidirectional sealing in a compact groove envelope.

The material holds up against nearly all industrial chemicals, strong acids and bases, and solvents. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE (Teflon) delivers one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid and non-stick, non-contaminating surface characteristics. Service temperature is rated from -65°F (-53.9°C) through 500°F (260°C). It is not the right choice where elemental fluorine at temperature or molten alkali metals are present.
