The TFE902 is an AS568-902 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 0.239 in (6.07 mm), a cross section of 0.064 in (1.63 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.367 in (9.32 mm). This o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

As a material, PTFE (Teflon) offers one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid and excellent dielectric properties. The compound resists steam, nearly all industrial chemicals, and solvents. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C). It should not be specified for service in elemental fluorine at temperature or service requiring elastic recovery.

Typical settings include chemical processing, pharmaceutical and biotech, and semiconductor fabrication.
