Ordered as TFE904, this is an AS568-904 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring with an inside diameter of 0.351 in (8.92 mm), a cross section of 0.072 in (1.83 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.495 in (12.57 mm). The o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

PTFE (Teflon) delivers one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid and excellent dielectric properties. This material stands up to oxidizing media, steam, and nearly all industrial chemicals. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C). Applications involving elemental fluorine at temperature or molten alkali metals call for a different compound.
