APG stocks the TFE908, an AS568-908 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 0.644 in (16.36 mm), a cross section of 0.087 in (2.21 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.818 in (20.78 mm). An o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

PTFE (Teflon) is specified here for excellent dielectric properties and very wide continuous service temperature range. Expect good resistance to steam, nearly all industrial chemicals, and strong acids and bases. Rated temperature range runs from -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C) in continuous service. It should not be specified for service in elemental fluorine at temperature or service requiring elastic recovery.
