The TFE918 is an AS568-918 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 1.355 in (34.42 mm), a cross section of 0.116 in (2.95 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.587 in (40.31 mm). This o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

PTFE (Teflon) is widely chosen for one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid and excellent dielectric properties. This material stands up to solvents, steam, and strong acids and bases. Published continuous service range is -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C). Verify compatibility before use with molten alkali metals or service requiring elastic recovery.
