This o-ring is supplied in AS568-928 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D supplied with an inside diameter of 2.09 in (53.09 mm), a cross section of 0.118 in (3 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.326 in (59.08 mm), catalogued under part number TFE928. It creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

As a material, PTFE (Teflon) is known for one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid and a very wide continuous service temperature range. This material stands up to oxidizing media, nearly all industrial chemicals, and steam. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C). It is not the right choice where service requiring elastic recovery or molten alkali metals are present.
