QV70159 is an AS568-159 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring built to an inside diameter of 4.987 in (126.67 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.193 in (131.9 mm). In service, this quad-ring uses a four-lobed profile to create two sealing surfaces per side, reducing the squeeze needed to seal.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) offers very low compression set at elevated temperature and the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit. Expect good resistance to engine and transmission fluids, petroleum oils and fuels, and aromatic hydrocarbons. Rated temperature range runs from -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. Exposure to low-molecular-weight organic acids or amines will shorten service life.

Common environments for this compound include high-temperature process equipment, oil and gas, and semiconductor equipment.
