Part number QV70162 is an AS568-162 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring with an inside diameter of 5.737 in (145.72 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.943 in (150.95 mm). A quad-ring uses a four-lobed profile to create two sealing surfaces per side, reducing the squeeze needed to seal.

The material holds up against engine and transmission fluids, aromatic hydrocarbons, and chlorinated solvents. Viton® (FKM) is valued for long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments and very low compression set at elevated temperature. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to amines or hot water and steam will shorten service life.

It sees regular use in aerospace, oil and gas, and automotive fuel systems.
