QV70165 is an AS568-165 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 6.487 in (164.77 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.693 in (170 mm). In service, this quad-ring resists spiral failure in reciprocating service thanks to its multi-lobe geometry.

The compound resists petroleum oils and fuels, chlorinated solvents, and many acids. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) is widely chosen for long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments and very low compression set at elevated temperature. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to amines or low-molecular-weight organic acids will shorten service life.

It sees regular use in automotive fuel systems, semiconductor equipment, and chemical processing.
