Q-356 FLUOROELASTOMER 75 Q RING

This quad-ring is supplied in AS568-356 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A quad profile measuring an inside diameter of 5.35 in (135.89 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.77 in (146.56 mm), catalogued under part number QV70356. It resists spiral failure in reciprocating service thanks to its multi-lobe geometry.

The compound resists aromatic hydrocarbons, engine and transmission fluids, and many acids. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) is specified for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, very low compression set at elevated temperature. Rated temperature range runs from -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. It should not be specified for service in amines or ketones and esters.

Typical settings include chemical processing, aerospace, and high-temperature process equipment.
