A quad-ring provides a dual sealing band on each contact face for improved reliability.

This material stands up to propane and butane, many alcohols, and water. Buna-N (Nitrile) is widely chosen for the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer, strong abrasion and tear resistance.
