Q-458 FLUOROELASTOMER 75 Q RING

Part number QV70458 is an AS568-458 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring built to an inside diameter of 14.475 in (367.67 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 15.025 in (381.64 mm). A quad-ring delivers lower friction and better sealing stability than a comparable round-section o-ring.

The compound resists aggressive chemicals, engine and transmission fluids, and many acids. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) is specified for outstanding high-temperature capability, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving ketones and esters or low-molecular-weight organic acids call for a different compound.
