The QV70471 is an AS568-471 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 21.955 in (557.66 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 22.505 in (571.63 mm). This quad-ring uses a four-lobed profile to create two sealing surfaces per side, reducing the squeeze needed to seal.

It resists many acids, petroleum oils and fuels, and aggressive chemicals. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) is widely chosen for long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments and outstanding high-temperature capability.
