QH70228 is an AS568-228 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring built to an inside diameter of 2.234 in (56.74 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.512 in (63.8 mm). In service, this quad-ring uses a four-lobed profile to create two sealing surfaces per side, reducing the squeeze needed to seal.

Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified here for strong abrasion and tear resistance, most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. The compound resists greases and lubricants, water, and hydraulic fluids. Published continuous service range is -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C).
