*Q-140 FLUOROELASTOMER 75 Q RING

The QV70140 is an AS568-140 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 2.237 in (56.82 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.443 in (62.05 mm). This quad-ring uses a four-lobed profile to create two sealing surfaces per side, reducing the squeeze needed to seal.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for very low compression set at elevated temperature, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. This material stands up to engine and transmission fluids, chlorinated solvents, and aggressive chemicals. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving ketones and esters or low-molecular-weight organic acids call for a different compound.

It sees regular use in aerospace, high-temperature process equipment, and semiconductor equipment.
