Ordered as QV70216, this is an AS568-216 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 1.109 in (28.17 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.387 in (35.23 mm). The quad-ring resists spiral failure in reciprocating service thanks to its multi-lobe geometry.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) is specified for outstanding high-temperature capability, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. The material holds up against petroleum oils and fuels, many acids, and chlorinated solvents. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to ketones and esters or amines will shorten service life.
