Ordered as QV70218, this is an AS568-218 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 1.234 in (31.34 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.512 in (38.4 mm). The quad-ring resists spiral failure in reciprocating service thanks to its multi-lobe geometry.

Viton® (FKM) is known for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, very low compression set at elevated temperature. The compound resists engine and transmission fluids, chlorinated solvents, and aromatic hydrocarbons. Rated temperature range runs from -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. It should not be specified for service in ketones and esters or low-molecular-weight organic acids.
