QV70226 is an AS568-226 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A quad profile Quad-Ring built to an inside diameter of 1.984 in (50.39 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.262 in (57.45 mm). In service, this quad-ring seats in a standard o-ring gland while offering improved dynamic performance.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) is specified for the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit and outstanding high-temperature capability. This material stands up to petroleum oils and fuels, aromatic hydrocarbons, and many acids. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It should not be specified for service in hot water and steam or low-molecular-weight organic acids.
