S70FDA104 is an AS568-104 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 0.112 in (2.84 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.318 in (8.08 mm). In service, this o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

The compound resists extreme heat and cold, weathering, and many oxidizing chemicals. Silicone is widely chosen for an exceptionally wide service temperature range and very good compression set resistance across its range. The material carries a published service range of -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). Exposure to concentrated acids or abrasive dynamic service will shorten service life.

This o-ring meets FDA requirements for food contact, is metal detectable for HACCP and foreign-body control programs. Common environments for this compound include medical devices, food and beverage processing, and sanitary process lines.
